*Sponges of Experience* was written over Memorial Day weekend 2025 as a personal challenge inspired by Elvis Costello’s claim he could write an album in a weekend. Allowing four days, I set out to complete at least eight songs with full lyrics. Supported by my Patreon community, I shared each song live as I finished it. After a strong start, a third-day slump, and a productive final push, I ended with a full set I chose to release intact. Not every song is perfect, but the project captures a meaningful, unfiltered creative experience.
