Juneteenth Observance Ceremony
Join in at the Catawba Trail Farm for a Juneteenth Observance Ceremony honoring the ancestors’ resilience and celebrating their liberation.
Gather for a walking procession to the gravesite led by African drummer Bashir Shakur and receive a Blessing of the Land led by Donnecia Brown to honor the lives of those once enslaved on this land.
Demonstration of traditional foods rooted in African American and Native American history, featuring Hoe-Cakes and Wojapi.
