Indie Strings Presents Concert of Peace

On the eve of the country’s 250th birthday, Durham’s Indie Strings Orchestra presents a Concert of Peace.

The concert is free and open to the public, with free parking.

The program is diverse with relaxing music around the central theme of peace. Selections include pieces by Baroque composers such as Bach, Mozart and Rameau, Romantic era selections such as Sibelius’s Finlandia, and modern feel-good classics from the Beach Boys, the Beatles, and Bobby McFarrin.

In addition, several original compositions by local composers and orchestra members will be premiered.
