Durham Poetry Parlor

Durham Poetry Parlor is a free community poetry discussion group held at the Main Durham Library.

Unlike a traditional poetry event, participants are invited to bring a poem of their own and engage in conversations with other poets about imagery, voice, structure, meaning, and craft. The focus is on thoughtful discussion, literary exploration, and meaningful connections between poets.

Writers of all experience levels are welcome, from those just beginning their poetry journey to published authors.

Participation is free and open to the public.
