I am absolutely in love with this place. I enjoy a keto friendly lifestyle. Therefore I ordered a fajita salad with shrimp. I requested that the shrimp only have salt and pepper on it to avoid any type of hidden sugar. Omg it was freaking amazing. I don't eat much in one setting so I took the remainder home. I ate on it from lunch until 8:00 p.m. that night. It left me wanting more. So I have gone back since and got another one. My coworker got their tacos, and he said it was amazing as well.
If I could give more than five stars I would. The atmosphere was great. The service was prompt and friendly. My food arrived relatively quickly and was fresh. I could smell the shrimp cooking in the back. Five stars +++

Delicious Mexican food and very generous portions. We had the largest Taquitos I've ever seen and delicious beef tacos on corn tortilla. Definitely coming back!

There wasn't much queso in my quesadilla, the queso that was there looked like melted sliced cheddar, not shredded...
The shrimp was dirty upon my first bite so I had to pick through it, making it a lot of work to eat. Our server was very kind and fast.

I tried the new location for the first time. The wait staff was incredibly friendly and courteous. I thought the food was very flavorful and well presented. Not too greasy or cheesy. I also love that you can sub refried beans for pintos. I’ll definitely go back!

Great food, friendly staff.
Went for lunch with a friend. Nachos were good, and my salad was diecious. We were not rushed and they continued to refill our drinks even after we paid while we were still sitting & chatting.
The entrance is not on the main street. When you see the sign, head back the side of the building. They have outside seating and the entrance is back there.

A colorful and welcoming restaurant! The food is varied and delicious. The price is moderate and the service is great. Give Torero's a try if you crave Mexican while visiting downtown Durham.😋

We have dined in their new location multiple times and have been very happy; glad they reopened. We have always ordered the cheese dip appetizer. Today we ordered ‘to go’ with that on our order. Getting home, we found we received a side of cheese dip for $3.99! Not an appetizer size. Very disappointed so I called the restaurant to be told, “to go” I would need to order 2 appetizers of the cheese dip to fulfill the in dining size.
Perhaps the on line ordering can add a selection of small or large to avoid disappointment?
Such a bummer.

*New location alert*. First time at the new location. We had the fajita sampler, and it was good. The new location looks good and is very comfortable. The service was great we look forward to going back again.

I’m a regular at the new location. The food is super quick, delicious and served by people who care about what they do. The lunch is too reasonably priced to be in Durham, which makes it my daily lunch location!

The location is updated on the directions. The food is amazing, I haven’t had authentic Mexican food for some time. The waiters are a pleasure. I definitely recommended especially if you want to support a small business.
