A great resource in Durham to cultivate the arts. On the first floor is typically a rotating exhibit. The rest of the building has rehearsal and performance space.

I took a pottery class here and loved it. The instructor was helpful and nice. Just go to the basement for the classes (it wasn't clearly marked when I was there).

I saw a Vault Theater production which was very well staged. The PSI theater is small and intimate, and in great condition.

There is so much to see just walking in off the street. I know the Arts Council has programs for local children because we saw a whole bunch of them. There is a large Gallery downstairs, and more on the second floor. Durham's best kept secret bathroom is in the theater upstairs at the Arts council. Clean, private, quiet, and so easy to get to. The place is handicap friendly with elevators leading to the second floor.

I attended a performance by my grandson's summer camp group. The children did well after only a week! Staff was pleasant and created a warm atmosphere. It is a nice building.

Went to see a play there and enjoyed it very much. The Arts Council has a relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff.

There is a larger Gallery we were not able to attend at this date but the items inside looked really cool. Durham's best kept secret bathroom is in the theater upstairs at the Arts council. I took a wheel throwing class with Becca who I adore, class was fun and the people were great. They have a lovely gallery featuring local artists and some student work. I can’t recommend enough for a visit or for classes (classes fill up immediately so be online as soon as they’re released!)
