Everything we expected, good staff, nicely appointed, great location. I didn't know it was possible to have such slow wifi. Speed tested at under 0.5 Mbps (that's right, not even one), and TMobile at least had one bar, which leaves little option for connectivity. Internet is not the most important feature, but it is essential these days.

Super-clean and friendly staff, but rooms are euro-souless and austere. Also, had to walk with my cane all the way out and up the hill because they lock the elevator door. Poor sound insulation means you hear just about everything, and no rugs means everyone can hear you, too. Felt like I had died and gone to Norway. The lovely view of the parking deck was not quite the "beautiful Durham skyline" that the description of the hotel provided. Bed was comfortable, an excellent but tiny fridge was provided, but no microwave or ice maker. Also cute but tiny robes that wouldn't have fit my 10 year old granddaughter. The place smells great, though!

I had a colleague speak highly of this hotel. I decided to give it a try. Ebony and Brandon provided world-class customer service from start to finish. I also got to meet a Cathy who manages the hotel and asked me about my stay. I mentioned to her that I will definitely come back. There is a bar with food, drinks, and live music (on this Friday at least). At the time of this post, housekeeping was back to pre-Covid Functions (cleaning rooms, hallways, etc.) I needed a barber and a good place to eat and both (Ebony and Brandon) provided a great recommendations. As a platinum elite member, I could not have asked for a better experience. For those wondering, Duke University Hospital, and a plaza with few good places to eat are within walking distance. It is also a great location to visit a loved one if they are attending Duke (or UNC).

The shower. Best hotel shower. They have shampoo conditioner and body wash attached to the wall and it smells more masculine than I prefer but very good. Similar to the neutrogenia products. The bathroom has a 1800 hairdryer and they provide bar soap, one makeup towel and shoe shine kits and some other pluses like emery board and shower cap. I included photos of other amenities in the room. The small fridge is a “smart” fridge so it keeps things cool at the temp you set. It is silent. The drawers are small in the “closet” but we were here for just 2 nights and it was fine. Coffee maker with Kcups at the desk - no opinions but convenient. The big thing for me is the night stands in hotel rooms. This is awesome. Has 2 USB ports and 2 power ports with a lamp and a reading light. The entryway into the room is wide enough to move around and get in the room without feeling like you’re being attacked by the door. The bathroom door is a modern translucent glass. There is privacy but light glows through into the bedroom on those late night trips in. There is a long bench that we used as a suitcase stand and seating. The lobby is clean and smells great. The negatives. Once you use the things in the bathroom, they don’t replenish them. The parking garage is for micro cars. There were folks smoking marijuana heavily and while that is a unique thing, there was no one shooing them away- security. I’d definitely stay here again.

This is a very comfortable and people friendly Place Keshaun Whitfield at the reception was amazing person helped us so much with all the questions and support. The staff is very friendly and breakfast served is very fresh and delightful. The hotel is walking distance from Duke university and taxi takes 23 min to reach here from Airport.

Awesome, modern, clean hotel. Love the bar/lounge offerings and the staff! Easy check-in after a long day. Highly recommend staying here while in Durham.

Great hotel! Excellent location near Duke University Hospital. We checked in and Ebony at the front desk was great. Efficient check-in and great directions regarding the hotel. As we bought items like water and snacks from the in-hotel convenience store Ebony recognized us and said hello. She made us feel welcome. Beds were comfortable, showers have great pressure and offer both a rain-ish shower and the traditional fixed head option. The room was very quiet and had plenty of outlets and ports for all of our devices. Best surprise was the hotel bar with great drinks and a killer bar tended by Randy who offered both unique and traditional drinks with skill and speed. There was food available but we did not order any, wish we had. I wish they made it more clear food was available. I bet the food matches the rest of the hotel, which beats expectations at every turn.

Location is tolerable considering it's on Dukes campus (goheels) staff awesome hotel is nice. Could do better on cleaning bathroom this is my 3rd stay here and 2 times the bathroom could have been cleaned better. However I will stay away.

Really nice hotel. Has a modern touch but still delivers on the essentials. Breakfast, while expensive, was great. Definitely would stay again

Nice hotel overall. Love the different styling. Parking can be challenging for some. Too tight. The good thing is the elevator takes you straight to the garage. BTW Google Maps may take you to the wrong entry point to the hotel. Coming from Lasalle St the hotel is on the right and you will notice the garage entrance.

Me & my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights. Upon arrival the power was out due to storm, but Ebony who worked at front desk showed amazing hospitality! From getting us pre-checked in , showing us the room (walking up flights of stairs) and giving informative details. Luckily, we didn’t stay at hotel for long because we had reservations, and by the time we arrived back to the hotel the power was on. Once we got a full vision of the hotel it was BEAUTIFUL! The beautiful smell soon as you walk in makes you feel comfortable and at home. We stayed in room #324 and the room was beautiful, bed comfortable, we fell in LOVE with the bathroom. We didn’t really have an view, but it was fine because we didn’t really stay put at the hotel anyway. Overall, it was a GREAT stay, and we would most definitely stay here again.

This was one of the best service I have encountered in a hotel. I came in as a covid-positive guest. They took care of me as if a family. The hotel counter staff and manager gave me free honey for my coughing, and free chocolate cookies for food. Due to my sensitivity to sounds during sleep, they helped to change me to a quiet room at the corner. The front desk manager would always ask me how I have been recovering whenever we met. They gave me well wishes after I recovered and left the hotel. I was a foreigner, just arrived in Duke, and was extremely grateful for staying in this hotel for teh short one week. It is within 5-min walking distance to Duke campus. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who are considering visiting Duke Uni or Durham.

Sound proofing definitely needs to be improved as heavy feet customers a floor above can present to be a struggle for light sleepers. Otherwise the hotel is nice and beautiful! The staff was welcoming and pleasant! I interacted the most with Alexander and Brandon. They were helpful and had the best attitudes. It was shock to my expectations because great service is getting harder to come to expect when traveling.

Nearly brand new hotel, and in my book an excellent value for the price paid. The room was clean and very nicely designed. Only quirk for me was that the toilet is a little weird (square), but it works just fine, so no real complaints. The breakfast cost $15 plus tax and had a decent selection of eggs, sausage, bacon, fruit, cheese, juice, etc. It's close to a small plaza with some good eating options; I tried the poke bowl/pho place and liked it a lot. I've heard the donut place is excellent - it was sold out by lunch. All in all, a great stay and I would happily return next time I'm in the area.

We have stayed here multiple times and I cannot say enough about Rebecca and the wonderful staff here! Beautiful hotel and rooms, excellent service, safe parking, tons of close dining options and a 10 minute walk to Duke Hospital and campus. Highly recommend!
