The Museum of Durham History is a small museum in Downtown Durham. The museum has a parking lot with free parking and admission to the museum is free. I did not find the museum welcoming and felt that I was in their way. The quilt on the wall was my favorite part of the museum. There is a children's area too. I had expected more exhibits inside but I was glad there were some outside. I wanted to learn more about Durham, but the museum did not cover much. The exhibits may change, so other exhibits may cover the history of the city better

Fantastic Musem - Lots of really interesting information (Durham has a really rich history!), and the staff is wonderful. They truly changed our day for the better. And on top of it, it's a free museum. Definitely go, and definitely donate.

Although the museum was tiny, the museum had quite a bit of information about the history of Durham which makes an ideal stop for people who want to explore Durham but are time-strapped.
