Workforce In Action Business Luncheon

The City of Durham will convene employers, workforce leaders, and community partners for Workforce In Action, a business luncheon focused on strengthening hiring pipelines and workforce readiness across the Triangle.

Workforce In Action reflects Durham’s continued commitment to aligning talent, training, and opportunity as the region experiences sustained economic growth.

The event is hosted by Give It To The People, a Durham-based, ecosystem building company, and brings together public, private, and nonprofit partners working to ensure Durham residents and businesses are prepared for today’s and tomorrow’s business demands.

Event Host Chisa Pennix-Brown stated, “Durham’s growth depends on how well we connect people to opportunity and resources and Workforce In Action creates space for real alignment where businesses, job seekers, and systems come together with intention.”

The event is supported by key workforce stakeholders, including Durham Office of Workforce Development, NC State Representative Zack Hawkins, Workforce Development Board Member La-Tasha Best-Gaddy of Infinity Bridges, underscoring a shared commitment to economic mobility and workforce alignment.
