Women's History Month Guided Tour of Pauli Murray's Childhood Home

Explore the childhood home of a twentieth-century human rights activist, legal scholar, author, labor organizer, poet, Episcopal priest, multiracial Black, LGBTQ+ Durhamite who lived one of the most remarkable lives of the 20th century. Through the interactive exhibits, conversation, and storytelling, our Executive Director, Angela Thorpe Mason will focus on key pieces of Pauli Murray's life and legacy in the Women's movement. Visitors will be guided through the interior exhibit and historic space, and time for questions and interactive reflection will be included in the time spent together.

Advance registration is required and space is limited. We recommend purchasing tickets at least 24 hours in advance.

Children are always welcome to attend guided tours, but must be supervised by an adult.

All are welcome at the Pauli Murray Center. Please see the accessibility page for more details.
