"We Built This" Exhibit Opening

The James E. Shepard Library hosts Preservation NC's "We Built This," which is a traveling exhibit and educational program highlighting the often-overlooked African American craftspeople who built North Carolina's historic structures. The exhibit showcases stories of skilled builders, architects, and enslaved laborers who contributed to landmarks, HBCUs, and churches. Through March 31, 2026.
