Vive la Vigne French Wine Dinner @ Washington Duke Inn

Spend a festive evening in the newly reimagined Vista Restaurant, where elegant holiday décor and candlelit warmth set the stage for refined French cuisine and exceptional wine pairings. AAA Four Diamond Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club presents the Vive la Vigne (“long live the vine”) French Wine Dinner, an indulgent exploration of timeless flavors and sophisticated technique. Before dinner, guests will step through the Inn’s completely transformed lobby, a stunning prelude to the evening ahead.

The culinary adventure begins with a glass of welcome wine and exquisite passed amuse-bouches, including French Onion Vol-Au-Vent, Pommes Dauphine crowned with caviar, and delicate Beef Tartare with cured egg yolk. Each course highlights classic French preparation and premium ingredients, from silky Foie Gras Torchon with grape gelée and brioche to tender Squab wrapped in crepe with chestnut, endive and apple. The menu continues with Dry-Aged Contre-Filet featuring Plat de Côtes, Marrow, Truffle Pommes Purée and rich pan jus, followed by Époisses paired with walnut and sugar plum. Dessert offers a decadent finale of Chocolate with quince, clementine and tuile.

Each dish is complemented by fine French wines curated to enhance the season’s most luxurious ingredients, including distinguished selections from Burgundy and Bordeaux’s classified estates.

The dinner, priced at $225 per person including wine pairings, is also available as a dinner-only experience for $110. Reservations are required.
