Drawing on material from their albums Transylvanian Dance and Transylvanian Folk Songs, Lucian Ban and Mat Maneri present an evening of work based on Béla Bartók’s field recordings in Transylvania at the beginning of 20th century. Featuring video projections of rare archival videos & photographs that Bartók himself took in his research trips (courtesy of Bartók Archives in Budapest), along with audio from the original wax cylinder recordings.
