The Journey of Land Relationship Workshop Series: Landing in a New Place
Forming a land-based relationship with place is an ongoing process, whether you live and garden on your own land, in an apartment or another setting. Together with Martin Jahn, horticulturist in the Culberson Asiatic Arboretum at Duke Gardens, you’ll explore what it means to arrive in an ecosystem, become a part of it and take responsibility for your shared future.
This workshop will focus on the first year of being in a new place. Through a variety of methods and activities, you’ll learn tools for observation and other ways to learn the land’s story before beginning to develop your own plan. Look for separate sessions in this series on Saturday, October 26, and Saturday, November 16.
