Film Introduction:
In my hometown.
The memory of past hunger is still alive.
Talk of the reality of death permeates the everyday.
The threats of death in the past and the deaths we face now,
Becoming something that people cannot rely on and cannot shake off.

About the Director:
In January 2021, Liu Xiaoqian participated in the Folk Memory Project and started to go back to her village to shoot, and in the process of shooting, she is also getting to know herself and understanding herself.

This screening is part of the 2025 Living the Pandemic Film Series by AMES Presents, featuring new works from The Folk Memory Project, Caochangdi, China.
