Taking Back Thursday: Mayia Warren

Every Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, Boxyard RTP will feature a live acoustic singer-songwriter on the BeatBox stage. The artist(s) and genre will change each month, but the goal is the same: order some food, enjoy the fresh air, and give yourself the time to unwind and recharge after a busy day.

Mayia Warren s an independent gospel recording artist, and keynote speaker from Raleigh, North Carolina. Known for her soulful blend of Gospel, R&B, Neo Soul, Country and Jazz, MAYIA creates music that is both faith oriented and rich with experienced storytelling. Her artistry is fueled by her faith, and personal story as a person with disabilities, and survivor offering messages of hope, healing, and authenticity.

Musical performances happen under the covered Pavilion on the BeatBox stage–weather response subject to safety conditions onstage. In the event of extreme weather, such as flooding, ice or lightning, performances will be canceled.
