Survive & Thrive

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

The Durham Crisis Response Center (DCRC) and its partners, Alliance Health, Durham County Public Library, and Durham County Public Health, invite the community to join in for a special community event.

Join “Survive and Thrive”, a community event to support survivors of domestic violence. The event will showcase over 25 community organizations that will attend to offer information on their services. There will also be survivor stories of empowerment by our speakers, Florida De-Vaul Dudley (Shining Light in Darkness) and Devon Chubb Pelto (Healing Arts Collaborative). The event will culminate with a special Dress for Success fashion show. Community guests and their team members will model clothing from DCRC’s PenniesForChange Thrift Store, which offers wonderful finds throughout the year!
