Meet your match... on two wheels!

Looking for a new way to meet people that isn't a swipe or a screen? Bike Speed Dating is your chance to spark a connection while cruising through downtown Durham! Whether you're looking for love, friendship, or just a fun evening out, this ride-based mixer is low-pressure, high-enjoyment, and powered by pedals. The ride is an easy 1 mile loop guided by the crew at Bike Durham, please tip your ride master, and there are bikes available if you cannot bring your own for $10 which goes directly to Bike Durham.

🚲 How It Works:

1. Pre-Ride Matchmaking

You’ll drop your name into a “preference bucket” (think: outdoorsy types, foodies, pet people, etc.—themes rotate monthly!) and we’ll partner you up based on those shared interests.

2. Ride + Connect (x3!)

You’ll go on three short rides (about 1 to 1.5 miles each) with three different partners. After each loop, return to Crank Arm for a quick 15-20 minute cool-down and casual chat.

3. Post-Ride Social

After all three rounds, we head back to Crank Arm Brewing for cold brews, great music, and a chance to reconnect with your ride partners—or meet someone new from another loop.

• Your bike and helmet (if you need a bike there will be some available)

• A good attitude and open mind and a kind heart

• Your social side (don’t worry, we make it easy!) We will have question ideas for each fun category. Think Dog-lovers, people who actually enjoy hiking, or has never worn socks with their sandals.

Each month, we switch up the pairing themes—you could be matched by favorite brunch foods, weekend hobbies, music tastes, or even astrological signs. It keeps the vibes fresh and the conversations flowing.
