After a decade forging a singular place in modern rock, the group delivers a record packed with massive hooks, power-pop anthems, and emotionally rich songwriting. Blending disco rhythms, heartland Americana, and classic guitar rock, the album reflects the highs and lows of city life—late nights, friendship, longing, and resilience. Written between 2021 and 2023, Playing Favorites expands Sheer Mag’s sound while centering bold, arena-sized choruses and vivid storytelling.
