Searows at Motorco

Searows is the project of Pacific Northwest singer-songwriter Alec Duckart, whose work blends intimate indie folk with expansive, atmospheric production. Following his self-recorded 2022 debut *Guard Dog*, which gained a devoted online audience and support from artists like Ethel Cain and Robin Pecknold, Duckart broadened his approach on *Death in the Business of Whaling* (2026). Recorded in a converted barn outside Seattle with co-producer Trevor Spencer, the album marks a shift from diaristic songwriting to a more symbolic, folklore-inspired style. Exploring themes of identity, trauma, and connection, Searows pairs emotional depth with a growing sense of scale and sonic detail.
