Peter Bernstein & Joey Calderazzo
Jazz guitarist Peter Bernstein has been a part of the jazz scene in New York and abroad since 1989. During that time he has participated in numerous recordings and performances with musicians from all generations. As a leader, Peter has released nine albums and a DVD. As a sideman Peter has appeared in groups led by Sonny Rollins, Bobby Hutcherson, George Coleman, Lou Donaldson, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Fathead Newman, Joshua Redman, Brad Mehldau, Diana Krall, Lee Konitz, Jimmy Cobb and many more. Current projects include his album, Monk, with Doug Weiss and Bill Stewart, a recently released solo record, Solo Guitar – Live at Smalls, and the highly acclaimed organ trio with organist Larry Goldings and drummer Bill Stewart.
One of the finest pianists of his generation, having recorded thirteen albums as a leader, Joey Calderazzo has traveled the road from child prodigy to in-demand session musician to elite member of the finest ensembles in jazz. He's accompanied the music's geniuses, from Michael Brecker and Branford Marsalis to Jack DeJohnette and Dave Holland. Throughout his journey, Calderazzo has boldly explored his own psyche and his place in the world, as a composer, improvisor, band member, and leader.
Michael Hawkins is a versatile and well-rounded virtuoso Jazz bassist, playing and writing in multiple sub-genres and on both acoustic and electric bass. Hawkins has recorded and toured extensively with acclaimed pianist Cyrus Chestnut who sites Hawkins as a member of his primary group
Stephen Gordon has toured all over the world and recorded with musicians like Ellis Marsalis, Wayne Henderson, Mike Clark, Donald Harrison, Jr., Fred Wesley, Eric Reed, Oteil Burbridge, Bill Summers, Maceo Parker, Steve Turre, Jason Marsalis, Joey DeFrancesco, Cyrus Chestnut to name just a few. He now resides in Charlotte, NC.
