Open Saturdays at the Pauli Murray Center
Stop by the childhood home of a twentieth-century human rights activist, legal scholar, author, labor organizer, poet, Episcopal priest, multiracial Black, LGBTQ+ Durhamite who lived one of the most remarkable lives of the 20th century. Open Saturdays are a chance to explore both the indoor and outdoor exhibits on the grounds of Pauli Murray's childhood home through a self-guided tour. Exhibits highlight the themes of identity, activism, and love in Murray's live. Staff and volunteers will be on site to help answer questions and welcome you to the space.
Children are always welcome to attend our guided tours, but must be supervised by an adult. We do not have separate pricing for youth or seniors.
Reservations are recommended but not required for Open Saturdays.
