October Third Friday at DAC -opening of Our House show feat accessibility pop up with Proxemic Media

Support the annual "Our House" show and experience art accessibility pop up!

The Durham Arts Council School is in the spotlight with "Our House", an annual exhibition of student and instructor artwork. This celebration of DAC School participants showcases their vibrant community arts education program; the Durham Arts Council School provides over 700 courses each year to more than 6,000 adults, teens and children in drawing, painting, dance, photography, writing, fiber arts and more. The art in "Our House" reflects the hard work and creativity of our students, and the professionalism and expertise of our instructors.

Our House is on view in the Allenton (first floor) and Semans (second floor) Galleries from October 11th- December 7th. Opening of this show is Friday, October 17th from 6-8pm.

DAC will also be hosting Building Access presented by Proxemic Media. Building Access is an accessible arts gathering to celebrate inclusion in the arts! This event highlights the vibrancy of the disability community’s contributions to the arts and fosters connections across communities. Free and open to the public, 6 PM – 8 PM. Guests will enjoy a festive evening featuring art displays and resources, live performances, food, and networking with artists, advocates, and organizations committed to making the arts accessible to everyone.
