Night Hawk with Emerson Bruno

The Brunswick, Maine-bred indie rock group Night Hawk celebrates their bold new record (recorded in North Carolina) with local indie rock legend, Emerson Bruno.

Night Hawk is an American indie rock band from Brunswick, Maine, now based in Washington, D.C. Originally a songwriting vehicle for Colter Adams (Indigo Boulevard) and Peyton Semjen, the project has evolved into an acclaimed live act, earning a devoted following for its delicate guitar work, enchanting harmonies, and clear-eyed lyricism.

Night Hawk’s music is defined by stark geometry and bold imagery, underpinned by a deep sense of melancholia and repose. Drawing on themes of urban isolation, childhood nostalgia, and the catalogue of 20th century painter Edward Hopper, the band blends traditional folk elements—fiddle, arpeggiated acoustic guitar—with the raw energy of barnstorming indie and alternative rock, creating a sonic palette that is as expansive as it is emotionally precise.

Night Hawk has shared the stage with nationally touring artists including Y La Bamba, Sadurn, Lady Lamb, Dino Gala, and Dead Gowns, and has headlined sold-out shows in New York City, Boston, Washington D.C., and Portland, Maine. Their debut album, Before We Begin—engineered and produced by Colter Adams, Colin Miller (MJ Lenderman, Indigo de Souza) and Chris Flores (Sonar House Studios)—is available on all platforms on August 7.
