Nature Babies Classes Begin

Connect with plants, your baby, and other adults with little ones as you explore the plant world with all five senses, learn uses of common plants, and experience simple ways to introduce your babies to the natural world around us. The group will use sight, touch, taste, feeling, and smell to be present in your bodies and to move at nature’s pace. Each session in this four-part class starts outside the Doris Duke Center and moves through the gardens. This program is for adults with babies who are not yet mobile and can be worn in a carrier (generally 0-11 months).

Fee: $58; partial scholarships can be requested by emailing GardensEducation@duke.edu. The class meets for four sessions, March 7, 14, 21, and 28, from 9:30-11:30 a.m, with a rain make-up date on April 4.
