Magick Makers Winter Solstice Faire

Magick Makers transforms Durham Central Park into a magical winter wonderland to celebrate the longest night of the year! Now in its third year, the Winter Solstice Faire returns bigger and more enchanting than ever, having drawn over 10,000 attendees across three years.

Magick Makers Marketplace: Support 60+ independent artists, witch and witch-adjacent creators, and small local businesses offering handcrafted candles, jewelry, art, ceramics, apothecary goods, crystals, home decor, and intentionally made magical gifts.

Divination & Healing Services: Connect with tarot readers, astrologers, massage therapists, and more throughout the afternoon.

Solstice Photo Experience: Capture the magic with mini portrait sessions against a stunning winter floral installation.

Community Rituals: Participate in opening ceremonies with intention setting (1pm) led by intuitive herbalist Sufia Ikbal-Doucet, and our sunset ritual procession (5:15pm) led by Hoodoo practitioner James Stewart, culminating in collective anointing oil creation.

Live Music: Enjoy curated sounds from DJ thefacesblur throughout the day and into the evening.

Food & Beverages: A few local vendors will have treats available, plus you're surrounded by Durham Food Hall and Glass Jug Beer Lab. The park is part of The Bullpen—Durham's Social District—so you can grab food and drinks from neighboring spots and enjoy them at the market.

This expanded celebration honors the power of community and connection, welcoming the return of the light together. Whether you're seeking an intentionally made magical gift, a moment of personal insight, or simply the warmth of collective celebration during the darkest time of year, this Faire offers something for everyone.

Bundle up and join us for this special day where community, creativity, and celebration intertwine in honor of the winter season.
