Made by You: Mini Embroidered Wonderlands

Join Hub RTP for a morning of channeling your inner whimsy and craft your version of an alternative world.

Led by local artist Patrizia Ferreira, students in this class will explore stitching, beading and embroidery techniques to develop texture and surface interest on a textile. In addition to learning techniques, you will learn how to incorporate disposable materials and other neglected random things to generate interest, create unusual effects and develop our capacity to see beauty in the discarded. The results will not only be mesmerizing but also sustainable!

All materials are provided, however a basic understanding of stitching and sewing is a prerequisite.

This workshop will take place outdoors at the Hub RTP stage, so dress accordingly. There is an indoor backup plan in case of unfavorable weather.

Due to the small-scale format of this project, each participant must purchase their own ticket. Participants are recommended to be 14 years or older.
