Hermeto Pascoal Tribute

Hermeto is one of Brazil’s most original and influential musicians. A composer, multi-instrumentalist, and visionary, he erased the boundaries between jazz and Brazilian music, creating what he called “Universal Music.” A legend in Brazil, Hermeto composed over 10,000 pieces in his life, collaborated with Miles Davis, was awarded two Latin Grammys and an honorary doctorate from Juliard, and inspired countless musicians and fans.

Hermeto passed away last September at 89 leaving a vast legacy of inventive music and inspiration. This tribute quartet was formed by musicians who were deeply touched by Hermeto's music and performed and collaborated with him. Grammy winning flutist Rebecca Kleinmann, brilliant pianist Ingrid Nora Knight, acclaimed bassist Carlos Pino and virtuoso drummer Gastón Reggio join together to celebrate music of Hermeto with deep reverence and joy.
