Gardening Across Generations: A Durham Community Plant Festival
Join the NC State Extension Master Gardener℠ (EMG) volunteers of Durham County at a free, fun-filled morning of hands-on learning! This year’s theme, "Gardening Across Generations," celebrates the diverse gardening roots of our community.
Explore over 30 booths featuring community partners and live demonstrations taught by EMG plant experts. Discover research-based gardening techniques from the diverse array of educational stations. For the kids, our Kids’ Zone offers several educational stops where children can collect stamps and earn a fun prize!
Featured highlights include story time performances by the legendary Stormie Daie, a chance to share your own Family Garden Story at the video history booth, expert advice from volunteers at "Tool School," and popular Garden Giveaways including books, tools, and plants (to the first 250 attendees.) These plants will also be on sale at their annual plant sale on April 11.
Whether you’re looking to sharpen your tools or your skills, there is something for every age. Admission is free.
