Four Mothers: A Global Perspective on Parenting & Support

Join an afternoon of global insight and local connection! Inspired by her book Four Mothers, author and reporter Abigail Leonard will sit in conversation with County Commissioner Michelle Burton, a veteran educator and child protection advocate. Together, they will bring a worldwide talk on parenthood followed by a practical resource fair designed specifically for Durham families.

Abigail Leonard is an award-winning international reporter and news producer, previously based in Tokyo, where she was a frequent contributor to NPR, Time, and New York Times video. Her stories have also appeared in The Washington Post, Newsweek, and Vox.

You will be able to leave the author talk and gain real resources from local organizations through the resource fair following the talk!
