Families Moving Forward knows that when families are supported, communities thrive. On this special night, five of Durham's most celebrated chefs - Matt Kelly, Aaron Benjamin, Gray Brooks, Michael Lee, & Chris McLaurin - are coming together to donate their time and talent in service of that belief. Guests will enjoy an inspired multi-course meal that not only excites the palate but fuels a purpose: to ensure that every family and child experiencing homelessness in Durham has the tools, support, and opportunities they need to move forward - towards housing and stability.

The funds raised during this event will go directly to supporting families through every stage of their journey— providing safe and private shelter rooms, ensuring young children receive critical developmental screenings and early interventions, connecting parents with job training and employment opportunities, and offering ongoing support after families are rehoused to help ensure their housing and stability are sustainable, for generations to come.

This evening is a celebration of community power—a reminder that a plate shared and a hand extended can change the course of a family’s life.
