Ethan Iverson Trio

Ethan Iverson (born February 11, 1973) is a pianist, composer, critic best known for his work with the Bad Plus. Before founding the group, Iverson was musical director of the Mark Morris Dance Group. He has played with many notable artists including Billy Hart, Mark Turner, Paul Motian, Tootie Heath, Lee Konitz, Charlie Haden........He is on the faculty of New England Conservatory of music. Ethan performed his suite, "Bud Powell in the 21st Century" at the Sharp Nine with the Brad Linde Ensemble in 2022. In 2019, Iverson recorded for ECM records a cd with Tom Harrell entitled "Common Practice". 2022 saw his first recording for the prestigious Blue Note Records label entitled, "Every Note is True" with Larry Grenadier and Jack Dejohnette.
