Durham City-County Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) Employee Observance Program

Dr. Anthony S. Lewis, Superintendent for Durham Public Schools, will be the keynote speaker for the event. Dr. Lewis began his role of serving the students, families, and educators of DPS in August of 2024. With 22 years of experience in education, Dr. Lewis is focused on improving the academic performance of students and DPS being the premier school district in the country.
The public is invited to enjoy the program which will also include remarks from local leaders and elected officials. Musical selections will be provided by singer, songwriter, and classically trained violinist Kimberly Michelle.
This program is free and open to the public.
