Durham Artist Archive - Pop Up Art Exhibition

The Durham Artist Archive Exhibition brings the popular local podcast off the air and onto the walls. Featuring artists interviewed on the Durham Artist Archive podcast, this exhibition invites audiences to step inside the stories they’ve heard and experience the work up close. Expect a range of styles, mediums, and perspectives from artists shaping Durham’s creative landscape today.

The exhibition is part of the Sixpence Art Series, a one-month pop-up gallery exploring time, creativity, and artistic risk. Inspired by the wedding rhyme “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue… and a sixpence in her shoe,” each exhibition interprets one part of the tradition through art. The Durham Artist Archive Exhibition represents “something borrowed,” bringing stories already shared into a new space where audiences can experience the work firsthand.
