Black Wall Street: The Price Of Progress
Be inspired by the resurgence of local Black businesses carrying on the legacy that led Parrish St. to earn the moniker Black Wall Street of America. During a leisurely 90- minute walk, we will visit the former sites of NC Mutual Insurance and the "Boys Who Wore Grey" confederate monument. Listen to the stories of Viola Turner, James E. Shepard, and many others. The walk begins and ends at Major the Bull at the intersection of Corcoran & Parrish Sts.
