Black History Month Guided Tour
The Rev. Dr. Pauli Murray was a twentieth-century human rights activist, legal scholar, author, labor organizer, poet, Episcopal priest, multiracial Black, Durhamite who lived one of the most remarkable lives of the 20th century.
Explore Murray's childhood home in Durham's West End, guided by Executive Director Angela Thorpe Mason through this specialized tour opportunity with a focus on Pauli's work in the civil rights movement. Time for questions and interactive reflection will be included in the time spent together.
