Black Genius Fest 2026: Architects of the Dream

Black Genius Fest is a free, family-friendly celebration marking the 100th anniversary of Black History Month. On February 28, Durham's historic Parrish Street hosts over 18 interactive exhibitions showcasing creativity, innovation, and culture.

Exhibitions include science, wellness, poetry, hip hop, live performances, and hands-on activities for all ages. The day features interactive worlds designed for exploration and discovery, wellness spaces for rest and reflection, and performances throughout the afternoon.

The theme "Architects of the Dream: Past, Present, Future" honors Durham's Black history while celebrating the community builders and young dreamers shaping what's next.

Free admission with registration.
