Batala Durham 10 Year Anniversary Event

Batalá Durham is an Afro-Brazilian samba reggae percussion band, one of 48 Batalá bands around the world, and one of seven here in the US. Batalá has been in existence for over 25 years and the band here in Durham is about to celebrate 10 years of being together.

Bands from around the US and world with over 100 drummers are coming for this event, during the Liberty Arts Iron Pour festivities.

Giba Goncalves, who created Batalá in 1997, is also coming to help celebrate.
