Bach Cantata Series: Bach & Vivaldi

This concert presents the music of two Baroque-era master composers-Johann Sebastian Bach and Antonio Vivaldi-and will be performed by an ensemble comprising students, music department faculty, and professional musicians. The pieces for the concert are:
* Vivaldi's Concerto in A minor, RV 522 (for two violins)
* Bach's Vivaldi Concerto in A minor, BWV 593 (organ solo)
* Bach's Non sa che sia dolore, BWV 209 (a cantata for soprano, flute, and strings)
* Vivaldi's In furore iustissimae irae, RV 626 (a cantata for soprano and strings)

The performers are:
* Dr. Philip Cave, Conductor-in-Residence at Duke Chapel, director
* Dr. Clara Rottsolk, Assistant Professor of the Practice of Music in Duke's Department of Music, soprano
* Dr. Roseen Giles, Mrs. Alexander Hehmeyer Associate Professor of Music in Duke's Department of Music, flute
* Dr. David Lim, Duke Chapel Organ Scholar, organ
* Yasmine Kwong and Justine Shih, Duke Students, violin
* Mallarmé Music, orchestral accompaniment

There is no charge for admission. Paid parking is available on a first-come-first-served basis in the Bryan Center Garage at 125 Science Drive. ADA parking is available in the surface lot at the same address.
