Annual Liberty Arts Iron Pour
Fire, Art and Rhythm Collide in Durham Central Park
When: Saturday, November 15, 2025 | 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Where: Durham Central Park, 501 Foster St.
Get ready for a fiery spectacle in Durham Central Park! This FREE event promises to dazzle audiences with its unique blend of art, fire, music, food and community spirit. Witness the mesmerizing process of creating sculptures from molten iron, as skilled artists push the boundaries of this ancient process.
"The purpose of this public event is to bring excitement and motivate everyone to immerse themselves in arts and the art-making processes" says Mike Waller, co-founder of Liberty Arts and creator of “Major”, the bronze bull who stands proudly at Durham’s Civic Plaza.
This year, the spectacle gets even hotter as Batalá Durham celebrates their 10th anniversary with a special Batalá Mundo performance, bringing together drummers from around the globe for an electrifying display of Afro-Brazilian samba-reggae percussion that will pulse through the park.
Admission is FREE, and ample free parking is available.
