Stop in for modern Indian cuisine and craft cocktails. As a highly upvoted, recent Reddit review listed: Start with the Jeera wings (crazy delicious chicken wings) and Gobi Sukka (cauliflower). The Achari Paneer is delicious — a spiced salty cheese. Out of the curries, the Chicken Murg Mykanwala is my favorite. And the Baigon Bharta (eggplant) is a nice side to mix in. If you’re not used to spicy, order your dishes mild and expect a good kick of spice.

The food is amazing! Staff is accommodating and well versed in dishes offered as well as having fabulous recommendations. They do a great job describing spice levels and won't leave you disappointed. The drinks are fun and delicious too, you can tell the curators love what they do. We had Ki on a Friday night and she was the absolute best! You can't go wrong trying out the food here 10/10 would recommend. We've been multiple times and each time planned our next visit before leaving.

This just may be my new favorite place in Bullcity! My husband and I enjoyed every bite! Excellent customer service and just an overall beautiful atmosphere and experience! Our server was the sweetest and I appreciated her recommendations! We look forward to dining with you all again soon! Thank you for such a wonderful evening. Being thanked for visiting while we were leaving was another plus for me and felt so welcoming. Highly recommended 10/10! Try the Veggie dumplings, jeera wings, London mix, garlic naan, and curry shepherd pie.

Best curry/Indian I’ve had outside of London. Classic dishes, elevated. Wonderful drink/cocktail menu that paired wonderfully with the food. Service impeccable. Busy, energized atmosphere can’t wait to go back soon.

Viceroy is an absolute gem in Durham's culinary scene! From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance was warm and inviting. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, helping us navigate the delicious menu. Every dish we tried was a flavor explosion! The dal bukhara and anjeer kofta were rich and creamy, the momo bhel were perfectly crispy, and the naan was fresh out of the tandoor. The attention to detail in the spice blend was evident in every bite. We paired our meal with some delightful cocktails, and it was the perfect complement to the food. Viceroy has quickly become our go-to spot for Indian cuisine in Durham. We can't wait to come back and try more of their menu! Highly recommend!

Some of the best Indian Cuisine I have ever had! The Chicken Korma, Thai Chili Naan and the chickpea battered spinach (forget the name) were incredible. Service was great, the spot is adorable.. highly recommend

The atmosphere was very peaceful. The staff too were also very friendly. Food was authentic, this is not the type of place that takes short cuts when assembling their dishes. Absolutely loved the experience!

Excellent food and cocktails. This place does fill up rather quickly so either come early or get reservations.

Viceroy is a great gem on main Street in Durham. This is a do not miss as the atmosphere and food are absolutely amazing. My friend and I popped in on a Friday evening and it was packed. There was room at the bar so we decided to sit there. It was a great spot as we got to chat with the bartender, see all the drinks go out, and received attentive service. We were not super hungry so I decided to get the garlic Naan with the chutney sauces and my friend got the chickpea salad. Both were amazing! The Naan had tons of flavor and a nice hint of smokiness. The chickpea salad had a combo of flavors that were salty, savory, and sweet. I love that it had a lot of onions and it was super satisfying. I would've eaten all of it by myself, but I tried my best to remember I was sharing. I would come back for one of their curries, which are reasonably priced and smelled heavenly! So I will be back!

We visited Viceroy for Pre Diwali Dinner. Service was quick. We ordered Pani Puri, Samosa, anjeer Kofta, Paneer Mykanwala, Chilli nan, and Garlic naan. Food was good. I particularly liked pani Puri. It had a twist of watermelon juice in the pani puri water. It tasted good. Second thing I liked a little more was Anjeer Kofta. The recipe of adding anjeer in regular kofta was great. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Salt in all food items was at little lower side. They provided table salt and black pepper to add. Over all quantity vs pricing is at little higher end. Ambience and environment was great. There is not much waiting area, will suggest reserving your table Specially if you are visiting over a weekend or festive days.

One of the best Indian food we have had in the US. We live in Dallas, and have lived in SFO, both cities with numerous options, but have had nothing even comparable to the quality, taste, service and ambiance of Viceroy. Chicken and lamb both are halal, which isn’t common information I’m guessing since I didn’t find it anywhere until I called to ask. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is visiting or even lives around here, and we will forever be looking forward to visiting Durham to eat here.
