I came for a solo brunch today and sat at the bar. Watching the kitchen move so cohesively and at such a fast pace was impressive and got me excited about the food early on. I ordered the chicken and waffles, which came with a biscuit served before my meal. The biscuit was the perfect size and moist. My (4 mini) waffles were absolutely incredible and could have been eaten without syrup (note: there is an ample amount of powdered sugar on the plate). The dish came with two eggs I requested to be scrambled with cheese added. I was pleased to find the eggs soft with cheese melted in and seasoned well. While I only eat chicken 1-2 times a year, there was a good (boneless) portion on my plate waiting to be devoured. First bite: overcooked. Second bite: barely seasoned. Had I eaten the chicken WITH the waffle, it would have been heaven. Addt’l notes: + friendly service + good coffee + skip the substitutions & order as-is (if you can) + you will be full + the restaurant is small so I’m sure they get slammed on the weekends (I came on a Monday late morning & sat right away, restaurant was approx. 60% full) + few vegan options + no alcohol

SO GOOD. Everything I have ever had has been spectacular. I would like to see more vegetarian options on the menu. The biscuits are delicious! This is my go to spot for bringing a morning date. The wait is long on the weekends.

Delicious Brunch! Great service! Good vibes. Worth the wait. No complaints. I had a farmer's omelet with potatoes and asparagus on the side. I could really taste the fresh herbs. Ate some of my brothers pancakes they were incredible. The chicken and waffles came with 3 perfect plump waffles. The coffee was good and they had cheerwine.

You must get here early to beat the lunch crowd. Excellent service. Excellent food. I myself had the must try duck hash. Others had the fluffy pancake dish. Chicken and waffles. The super buttery fresh biscuits were a treat. The omelet with side of Cajun shrimp and grits was looking good. I wish I can try everything.

This is a hidden gem in a strip mall off Hwy 55! The food is fresh, flavorful and creative! They are only open for breakfast and lunch and serve breakfast the whole time. The biscuits are a must try and the omelettes filling but light and fluffy. Try the red pepper jelly on the biscuits, it's not what you expect! This spot will be in heavy rotation! Would have loved to give 5 stars but they added gratuity without disclosing.

Been here three times, amazing every time. Had the catfish benedict, really good. Potatoes that came with it were soft on the inside crunchy on the outside. Biscuits that come out first are great as is the jam/marmalade that comes with them. Just an overall great place.

Love the atmosphere (Durham) and my service was excellent!!! I wanted to love everything about this place - and did enjoy the space and service!! Our server was personable and very attentive - he really was a pleasure. There was also a young woman that chatted with us briefly - said to keep an eye out for the rooftop bar opening - that will be cool. I may try it one more time - and make better menu choices. My system can't handle that much grease, oil and butter.

I love Southern food and this place is serving the greatest Southern breakfast.! I had chicken and biscuits was super good which is my favorite dish! I never changed my order since 2016 but I tried many different dishes and all of were excellent. They have a huge parking lot but the restaurant was always crowded. The people of their super nice and friendly. They had good desserts ( cakes ) too. Highly recommended.

These guys understand food. So much depth of flavor! Sit at the bar overlooking the kitchen and you’ll be able to see that artistry come to life.

I use to love this place. Seems like the last time few times I went the food wasn’t that great for the wait. The waffles and pancakes are super thick like bread which in my opinion makes for a horrible waffle. The chicken really doesn’t have season on it. The shrimp and grits my cousin received was very watery. To the point he needed a spoon to finish it up. Last the waiter wasn’t that great. She did what she was supposed to do but no smile, no friendly greeting and about 10 mins after we finished we were asked to leave to give up another table for someone else. I get it, you have others waiting but who wants to go to brunch only to be rushed out! It’s apart of the experience. Probably won’t be back, and I usually go every few months.

Every time I come here it is a superb experience. They had some tech issues (not their fault) last time and they were direct, polite, and still super prompt. Anyone who comes to Durham, I recommend true flavors first.
