Upon arriving, we were greeted by Happi who was absolutely wonderful. He described items on the menu to everyone in my group. He was not only friendly but very patient. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was so cute. If you are looking for a place to find some great food in a nice atmosphere with friendly staff, then Terrace Kitchen should be one of your top choices. You will not regret your decision to eat here.

I celebrated my birthday at Terrace Kitchen Friday night and had the most wonderful experience! The staff was incredibly attentive, we continued to comment on the lovely atmosphere, and the food and drinks were wonderful!
We had a Butterfly Effect and a Terrace Potion cocktails- both were beautiful and tasty. We then had the pork chop and charred salmon filet. We'd highly recommend both! I had noted the reason for coming on my online reservation as my birthday, and they recognized that as soon as I walked in. They even brought a complimentary dessert that was beautifully presented!
All of the staff were welcoming and attentive! I could not recommend Terrace Kitchen more. It's a lovely space with amazing food and staff! I look forward to my next return!

Just had dinner at Terrace Kitchen and it was an amazing experience! Javier took great care of us. The five of us had the pork chops, charred salmon, lamb chops, Mediterranean chicken, and the shrimp risotto. Flavor, texture, temperature, everything was on point! As a Durham native it's wonderful to know that we have this new place that's also minority owned.

What a cute restaurant! Great atmosphere, and, yummy food & cocktails!
We had a Butterfly Effect and a Terrace Potion cocktails - they were both strong and beautifully presented.
Our dishes were also delicious. The eggplant parmigiana was a great vegetarian option (very cheesy) and the risotto was super creamy with lots of scallops (worth the higher price).
The restaurant is new so the service speed has room for improvement, but very nice folks! Can’t wait to be back.

Terrace Kitchen is an absolute gem in Durham! I dined there last night and was thoroughly impressed. I ordered the ribeye steak meal, which was cooked to perfection—juicy, flavorful, and beautifully presented. To complement the meal, I had an old fashioned that was perfectly balanced, smooth, and expertly crafted. For dessert, I couldn’t resist the bread pudding, and it was hands-down one of the best I’ve ever had—rich, decadent, and the perfect sweet ending to the evening.
The ambiance was inviting, and the service was outstanding, with staff who were friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the dining experience. Whether you’re looking for a special night out or just exceptional food and drinks, I highly recommend Terrace Kitchen. I’ll definitely be back soon!
