We did not have a wait to be seated but got there around 7 on a Saturday. We did have to wait quite a bit for our food after we ordered though. It was worth the wait!! Our waitress Maya was sweet and attentive. Everything was delicious, a little pricey but not too bad. Would recommend and would go back again.

My husband and I have been here twice now! Once when some live jazz music was playing and once in the main dining area. Both times the wait staff were great (Maya and someone else I can’t remember his name). The food was delicious especially their succotash and we recently tried their scallop risotto special which was to die for. And the ambiance of the place was great, especially when you are in the live music room. It’s a fun place to go eat.

Highly recommended! I have spent a lot of time along the coast Baton Rouge to NOLA and this food is authentic. What an amazing find in Durham. Make sure to introduce yourself to the chef! Truly an original.

Jay was our server, he is delightful and accommodating. The food is delicious and well seasoned. The bread is a bit delicate, but tasty. We will definitely go back.

Nice, down home Creole place that produced a very nice experience for our party of four.
We preferred Fried Green Tomatoes, Jambalaya, be and Blackened Red Drum, all of which had nice sides.
Dessert was very good including, Key Lime Tart, Peach Bread Pudding, and I nice brownie with whipped cream.

Succotash was worth the 30+ minute drive, and we'll be back. 👍🏻
