The veggie burger was very good… the patty kinda reminded me of a beet latke. The fries are done to perfection, the skinny style isn’t my favorite, but good execution beats style preference every time!
The smash burger isn’t my favorite style (and prefer thick and rare to thin and well done), but it is also a good execution of the style.
After ordering, I realized that this was straight counter service. I had to grab my own beer out of the cooler so the cashier could scan it (I tried to order the beer by name, and was told to go get it). They did deliver the food to the table, but ketchup, mustard, napkins, and anything else was completely self service.
So I was disappointed that the tip suggestions started at 18% and went up. Overall, it seemed pretty expensive. I spent $49.15 on 2 burgers, 2 fries, a lemonade, a beer, and tip.

Honestly, the burger was really good, but it's weird that they don't have lettuce... Like at all... and the prices are a little outrageous. But it is downtown. And it's a nice spot to grab a burger on the go or sit really quick before going to an event. The chairs outside are tiny AF and metal so, big bootied people will not be comfortable. The bourbon sweet tea is fantastic but watered down as expected. I'd stop by again and grab a sweet tea since they are in the BullPen where you can take alcohol to go.

Was downtown during lunch and decided to try for the first time. Vibe was good, large menu to read, fountain drink and free flowing condiments. I found the veggie burger to be average and the fries were good. I would equate the food to the same as when I get the same from Freddy’s fast food. They are downtown location so prices are higher. I requested no pickles- ticket and sticker on burger State no pickles… guess what was included…?yes ,pickles. That would be the only negative. Was not crowded when I went in and had adequate seating on a weekday lunch.

I would first like to say I gave this place 5 stars on the food that they have. That doesn't mean I don't think they should add a few things to put on the burger. I might miss one but my options were cheese, pickle, onion and sauce. That's it. That's pretty good if you're not a hamburger place. Just my opinion maybe some lettuce, tomato, bacon and mayonnaise.
I always write at the bottom of my review if I would come back or not. We are a family of 5 so dinner cost us $68.00 without tip and we split two large fries and had 3 waters. We will not be adding this to our regular rotation but only because of the cost. If you wanted to splurge a little before a show, it might be worth it.
I will finish by saying thank you for the good food and clean restaurant.

This small business is amazing!!! The burgers are grass fed. They also offer veggie and vegan burgers as well. The menu online is a lot different than what's inside the restaurant (restaurant menu only shows burgers) so it could possibly be a mistake. But I have no complaints. It is located downtown so be mindful about parking and walking.

I’m not a big burger person so when I hear about good burgers that I have to try - I make it a point to visit when I can. Queen burger was SO good, def highly recommend. Quality in the food and their fire spiced fries were YUM. They also have a charred margarita that was really good if you enjoy spicy drinks.
A lot of the negative reviews are around price point but honestly you have to pay for quality foods if that’s what you want to eat and I did not find them expensive for what I had. Go visit if you haven’t tried yet!

It was really delicious. Food came out fast, staff was super friendly.
We got the Carolina Slaw Burger and the Double. A large side of fries with Fire Spice to share.
The fries were super crispy and had a nice sweet hint to them (assuming the fire spice) with a good heat to them.
The Carolina Slaw Burger was moist and had crispy edges. The Slaw was crunchy and the chili was very flavorful.
The Double was the same as far as moist and crispy. We got the Special Sauce on it and, not sure if it was the sauce or part of the burger but it was a little heavy on the mustard flavor. Not so much so that we didn't like it, just a little strong.
The only thing that turned me off was the price point. For 2 drinks, a large fry and the two burgers, it was roughly $42.
QueenBurger markets itself as a fast food joint that uses fresh high quality ingredients. Grass fed beef directly from Durham, and house made veggie smash. In a world where fast food joints are super popular among teens and adults alike, QueenBurger could absolutely crush corporate competitors with the quality of food they have if there was a small price adjustment. They seem to already have the business to succeed (place is filled up as of this writing, but at almost $50 for two meals, it's a far cry from a quick bite with friends or family. As far as more bang for your buck with the same quality, there are other places.

Finally a burger place that cares about having flavor in the actual meat of the burger. Some other burger places add flavor by adding condiments and veggies while the meat is horrible by itself. At this place I realized that I could eat the burger by itself and enjoy flavor in every bite. If you like your burgers seasoned then come here. If you want your burger bland then go somewhere else. Some cultures like their food savory and full flavored and others like their food bland and without taste. Come be your own judge. I do wish the price was less but considering the price of rent downtown Durham I understand they need to earn enough profit to pay the bills.

Fell in love with Queen Burger when it started behind Kingfisher. Finally got a chance to try their new location and everything was wonderful. We had the classic and chili burgers, tried both type of fries (not pictured). The food was ready within a few minutes, brought to us, and took care of an issue with our order right away. This if officially our burger spot!!

Wow, best burger I've had in Durham. I've been missing QueenBurger in my life since they've been planning to open their brick and mortar and it was truly worth the wait. I don't understand the "bad" reviews but this is my ideal burger. Thin smashed patties with decadent crispy edges, a mountain of onions, and the perfect burger sauce all cut by some fresh pickle slices. The fire spiced fries were also equally delicious and the metaphorical cherry on top. Will be returning (regularly)

Opening day at ATC. Arrived and order taken at 11:38 with only a couple people in front of me. 11:55 order handed to me with a line out the door. So, come early. I recommend getting 2 burgers or a double to essentially be the equivalent to what you are used to. For me QueenBurger is like what a fast food restaurant would be if they used real ingredients to make your food. I had a double cheeseburger with the fire spiced fries. Both were really good. The burger is no frills but tasty. The fire spiced fries were fresh and tasted of Old Bay with a chile kick. I'll probably go with the sea salt next time. I did not have a drink or dessert, but it all looked appetizing. The staff was super friendly and helpful in what was an easy ordering process.
