My experience here completely changed my day. Such personp service and incredibly thoughtful food! My needs for vegan options were met with enthusiasm and more suggestions. You can tell she really cares about the food she is putting out. Amazing find. Diamond in the rough ♥️

Haven't had this delicious rice and stew in a while! Awesome hidden place that one must try, especially vegan/vegetarian. Carry cash/check with you! The owner is a very sweet lady, makes you feel at home.

Like eating a grandma's house. Old world cooking. A little pricey though

Absolutely lovely. You'll be wowed by all of the beautiful pastries, but do try the pomegranate stew (fesenjoon) if it's being served.

I remember the first time I looked at this restaurant on Google, and I was so confused. How can they only be open three days a week for three hours at a time? Are they really this good? The answer is YES. If you’re looking for food with a ton of flavor, vegetarian/vegan options, and the sweetest owner to chat with while you’re in there, you came to the right place. They have a few tables outside for outdoor seating, and as stated above, they are only open from 11-2 (as of 4/2022). It is the perfect spot for lunch if you’re looking for something healthy and extremely flavorful. A wouldn’t miss in my opinion!

Wow. I like small kitchens but this place is amazing. I am not a vegan but the food here is some of the best around. My meal was cooked to perfection and its that kind of food that just makes you feel good and full of flavor also.

I went here for the first time today and the owner/chef, Mally, was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. She cooks authentic Persian food and everything I had was absolutely delicious- I highly recommend the pomegranate stew! The flavors of everything I had were exquisite. I can't wait to go back and try new items; she has something for everyone here (vegans, vegetarians, and meat-eaters alike)

An absolute gem in every sense of the word! One of my new favorite restaurant in the triangle area. Authentic, delicious and unique food made with fresh quality local ingredients— and most importantly, lots of LOVE. The Chef/Owner, Mally, is an angel with a clear passion for sharing her native cuisine and culture with her customers and a true talent for cooking! I HIGLY recommend you pay her a visit when you get the chance! I have no doubt you will fall in love like I did.

This place is a real gem. I love it. The food is fantastic and the owner is delightful. A little hard to get to, but worth the effort! If you're thinking about going, GO!! (and if you're not thinking about going, GO anyway!)

A friend and I ate here on a whim, and I'm glad we did. When you arrive you might be a little nervous, as it is difficult to get to the restaurant, and the restaurant has no inside seating. However, I don't know that I've ever had a more charming dining experience. The kitchen area essentially looks like someone just transplanted a classic grandmother kitchen into a restaurant and the air is fragrant. The ladies working on that day were grandmotherly and kind. The owner talked us through the menu very patiently and they do have quite a bit of outdoor seating that looks over a little garden or a large amount of bamboo. When the food arrived it was beautiful, we both ordered jewel rice and fesenjan. I wasn't sure what to expect, but the meal was heart and flavorful. The owner even asked us where we were from and gushed about our city. I felt like i had experienced grandmother cooking from someone else's grandma. The whole experience was just insanely pleasant and I would definitely go back if I'm ever in the area.

Amazing food, the pomegranate stew was my favorite & my girlfriend loved the smoked eggplant. Both come with spiced rices, with the tadig crust. Delicious!

My girlfriend and I were visiting from philadelphia and happened to find this gem of a place. Their food is some of the best I've ever had in recent memory. Their flavors are so vibrant with really unique flavors. The owner makes all of her food with her own recipes and fresh ingredients. She's extremely passionate about her food and it shows. We were only in town for 3 days but it was so good that we wanted to return before we left. The pomegranate stew was a highlight - we couldn't believe it was just walnuts, pomegranate, and beans. The chef must be doing something magical in that kitchen. The meatball piroshki was sweet, savory, and so flaky. The hibiscus mojito was tart and refreshing. Sadly, they're only open 3 days a week and dont have a location in Philly - otherwise we would come every day. We will definitely try to visit Durham again just to come here. It was that good!
