Although the grooming personnel turnover can seem fairly quick, have had good experiences with baths and nail trimming at this location. Higher priced products than Target, Walmart, Big Internet Seller, but good selection. Our first dog took obedience classes back when Lisa Woods was the trainer—amazing. Miss those classes!

Aquatic section was pretty good. Dirty though and everything was everywhere. Better than quite a few I've been to. But they could use some help cleaning and straightening the store up a bit

Beth grooms my two golden retrievers Oliver and Gilligan she has been grooming Goldens for me for several years and she always does just a great job I can tell she loves my boys sometimes I hide around the side of the corner of where she’s working just to watch her interact with my boys you can tell she enjoys my dogs she always cuts my chubby one with what we call the slim cut and it makes him look slimmer than he actually is I trust her with cutting their nails my dogs always look like they’re ready for Westminster when they leave

From covid measures to knowledgeable sales staff to check out. It seems everyone in the store cares deeply about our pet and wants to be sure we have the right equipment and at the right price (was handed a coupon that saved us a lot of money). Made me a forever customer.

This grooming salon is hands down the best grooming salon I have ever used. They care about the animals so much! They are professional, responsible, thorough, polite and just generally amazing people. They love your pet and will watch for any problems that arise and point them out to you. They have gone above and beyond for me. Also these people are working very hard during Covid as essential workers. Please be nice to them! So many people have been downright rude during Covid. You folks need to get it together and learn how to be nice to your groomer!! Thank all of the Petco groomers for risking their health to take care of your pet! Thank you from me and my fur babies!!!

The app is very friendly. But it is the petco team at the store who I love the most! They had my order ready to roll on a cart and all! Lola and I are very loyal to Petco b/c of wholehearted products and the amazing sales! Kudos to Petco and all the team!

So I brought my cat in today to get groomed to look like a lion. When I first came in, Amber greeted me and told me she was going to be grooming my cat. She was not friendly at all, and I was apprehensive to leave my cat there. However, I did and when I came back her mood completely changed. She was friendly and engaging. She told me how it went, and details about the groom. Might I just say he looks stunning. This is the best groom I've gotten for him, and I get it every year for the past 3 years. I will definitely come back, and I would definitely recommend Amber to anyone. Great job!

I really like this Petco store. They had what I needed in stock. They also have good sale and regular prices and I don't even need a coupon. Store reps are really nice also.

Our family and our pets love Petco. Beth does an amazing job grooming our goldens and they love to go in. The staff is always kind and helpful. We’ve had great experiences at Thrive vet, too. They work hard to help our dogs feel comfortable.

Amazing place to go for my grooming needs. I always ask for Beth to groom my Standard Poodle she does an amazing job and is always better then expected. Highly recommend her and this grooming salon.

first i never received notification via email that my order was ready for pickup....when i go to the store to pick up, my order was not complete. i ordered 2 bags of macaw bird food and there was only 1 bag for me, i had paid online for 2. i was told that is what my order stated...i pulled up my account order on my phone and it clearly stated i ordered and paid for 2 bags. i was not offered another bag, or the opportunity to even go and look to see if they had more. no receipt was given, i was told to use my online order history as my receipt.

Love, LOVE the grooming services at the Petco on Renaissance Parkway in Durham. The staff take terrific are of the animals in their care. My Patty, who is picky about anyone and anything who touches her, eagerly comes to get a monthly bath and a lot of TLC.

The staff are more like family than employees. They know the family all of our pets and when we are there shopping, we can easily tell that they are the same with ALL of the customers!

I was in this store with my puppy when a dog was attacked by a very massive muscled pit bull. This was awful to watch, the smaller dog pooping itself, the owners handled themselves so poorly screaming and kicking the dogs & laying on top of them making it so much worse. The aggressor actually drew blood on its owners hand. This 5 star is for the store and the way they handled it, had the owners backed off the staff could have broken this up without the damage to human and pets. It took an employee throwing a bucket of water on the humans & dogs to calm it down. I was impressed with how the staff handled themselves, the customers involved and the bystanders. I don’t know why both dogs were in the doorway at the same time, or why the owners instincts weren’t better, and I’m thankful that staff kept their cool.

This is a great store. I almost always get excellent customer service here. The only thing I would possibly change...well 2 things....you almost never have the right size of dog food. I buy royal canin and you only carry the largest bags in the medium adult. It takes 3 months for me to use that size so I worry about the quality after a certain time. Also, it seems to take a long time to check out. The reason for that is good customer service....the cashiers are always asking if you want to get a rewards card or if you found everything ok, which is awesome. People who shop there care about their pets, otherwise, they would buy cheap food for less at a discount store. So you have to know that people who shop there ARE going to want to get a card and WILL have product and service questions. So most times, it takes at least 3 minutes to check someone out (at a minimum). But that means the other people in line are waiting through that, most of the time with a curious pet and or very full hands. Maybe just as a test, on weekends, you could have a customer service rep greeting people as they get to the line and while they wait, ask them if they want a Petco card or if they have any questions...and maybe even a handheld to get them signed up. Just a thought.

Nice store. I was told that you don't carry Pupperoni because it contains a red dye. That's news to me and the other Petco carries it! I appreciate your concern about my pet!

First time I brought my bichon in for grooming and it was a very pleasant visit. Kat greeted him and did a lovely job on grooming my dog exactly the way I wished and I will admit he was a bit of a mess. Thanks and I will see you sooner !

I rescued this cutie from Petco!! She is the sweetest addition to our Family. My other cat is loving all the shenanigans Babe has taught him!! The Staff is WONDERFUL and always available to answer my questions 😻😻

The store was clean and well lighted. All staff members I interacted with were friendly and helpful. Several asked me if I needed help finding something. The staff member who checked me out offered coupons and discounts when she found out that I had just adopted a dog. My experience was entirely positive. Good job Petco staff!!!

Always a great outing to the "mini zoo". I got in order to get ratsicles to feed my pet corn snake. They always have at least one size that she can eat in stock.

The staff is generally friendly, and I love going to say "hello" to all the animals, but there have been multiple occasions when they are out of guinea pig food (Kaytee brand) or the big bags of hay. Once, even, I asked an employee if they had any more big bags of hay and he said "I don't know. Look over there" with no additional help.

We are cat owners, so this review only applies to that section of the store. It would be nice to see a larger variety of cat toys, treats, and furniture stocked in the store. Food and litter options are fine, but cats need enrichment just as much as dogs. Where are the large cat trees; or good variety of small chase toys, kick toys, chew toys, and play wands?

Me and my lab are a regular at this Petco and the staff is always friendly. The place is clean and has a good selection, price is mid to high but you can't ask for much more. Once again the staff is very friendly🙂

Haley at the front desk, Dr.Harris and her assistant Sheri, were all EXCELLENT! Such a breath of fresh air after leaving banfield behind and we are never going back! They took great care of Ares and Nova. They made their checkup and vaccinations go so smoothly. It was an effortless, painless, and pleasant experience. I highly recommend this place for your pets!

My four star rating is only for Perco. The petco is great, staff are very nice and friendly. But the new open affordable vet Thrive sucks. Maybe they have good vets, but the reception and the vet we met, oh my god, worst experience ever. I will never walk my dog into that practice again.

I came in on June 25th and bought a Betta fish. The gentleman helping me (don't know his name, white guy with beard) helped me and even gave me some Java moss for my fish tank! Best Petco I've been to in a while!

This Petco is very convenient and always clean, but what makes it stand out from other Petco locations is how kind and helpful the staff are. One of the staff helped me pick out a harness for my dog based on our needs, took it out of the packing, fit it on my dog properly, and showed me how to best use it in their dog-training area. They really go above and beyond!

I usually go in for frozen thawed rats and mice for my snakes. They always have what I need. They will normally let me know when certain deals are going on so I can get extra supplies or feeders.

Groomers did a okay job with Ginger but were not upfront about the cost of her appointment. Here’s my take on the good and bad: Good: Satisfied with the cut overall. Clean establishment. Someone sent a friendly text message to help in rescheduling our appointment that we initially missed. Bad: Not upfront about pricing. Team seemed to lack customer service experience and the ability to empathize with my concern. This was Ginger’s first time here and the groomers were aware of this, yet I still wasn’t informed that I would be charged an additional total of $20 for the small patch of matted hair around her collar and the length of her medium hair. This was a huge jump from the $41 the app informed me I’d pay for the services I wanted. The manager agreed to remove the charge yet he seemed to uncomfortable and stressed trying to handle my concern while the women seemed defensive and unconcerned about her failure to communicate. To first time customers, I suggest PetSmart, specifically Beaver Creek, for grooming. They are upfront about the costs and explain what their services cover. There costs are cohesive, no surprises, and you will not be charged for minor patches of matted hair on top of your grooming service. Overall, customer service here needs support.

Every time I come in this store the employees are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They are ready to help you and give you advice. They take their time with you and ensure you have everything you could possibly need. Would recommend
