Very generous servings and a great example of Carolina style BBQ. Personally I found the meat to have very little flavor and the brisket was very fatty and tough. The pork was our favorite along with the hushpuppies -
I ordered the brisket on a baked potato. The baked potato was huge and the brisket was moist and really tasty. Because of a gluten allergy, I couldn’t have the hush puppies but they smelled amazing! My FIL had the pulled pork sandwich and really enjoyed it. I will definitely return for more when I’m back in the area. -
Eaten here many times through the years and it’s always been good. The barbecue chicken, brisket, ribs, deviled eggs, pulled pork 10/10!
This time we got the pork sandwich with slaw & potato salad. And the pulled pork platter with fries and beans. The hush puppies came with both dishes. Everything was fresh, hot, and delicious.
There’s indoor and outdoor seating, clean tables and plenty of parking.
The music overhead today was perfect: Keith Whitley “Don’t Close Your Eyes”, BJ Thomas “Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song” and a young Willie Nelson “City of New Orleans”. These were almost better than the banana pudding for dessert!
Always a treat to eat here. -
Had dinner tonight 5/16/26 and it was really good. We shared a three meat plate with two sides and hush puppies. We had beef, pork ribs, and pulled pork. For sides we had mac n cheese and Cole slaw. We also added a drink and I was able to get Cheerwine from the fountain. Welcome to North Carolina! The beef was so juicy and tender and I really enjoyed it all. It was more than enough for two people and I loved that I got to try a wide variety. Sat outside in covered area with a small breeze it was perfect. Parking is hard but keep going there is more and you might get a spot. -
First time trying this bbq spot and it did not disappoint! We had pulled pork sandwich and brisket sandwich. They both came with hush puppies and we got French fries which were so fresh and delicious! Everything was amazing and the flavor was perfect. The service from the gentlemen in the kitchen was above and beyond. Definitely recommend if you’re in the mood for some great bbq!
