Always delicious. Usually get take out but my experiences dining in have been great too. Some of the best takeout around.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in this part of NC! They have the best curry chicken and hot and sour soup that I have tasted in years! The wait staff is always extremely friendly, good at what they do and helpful.Every time I go there for a meal, I tell the owner these exact sentiments.

I used to truly love this place years ago. Their food was always great quality and clean and tasty. I love that the vegetables in the dishes are crisp and vibrant. The owners were always very nice to me and remembered me and my family and always had true conversations with me, especially the father of the family who owned the shop. They’re still pretty good but I feel maybe they changed their cooks? Possibly? It seems their food doesn’t exactly have the flavor and quality it used to. I still go to them when I’m in town visiting family though because I do enjoy their food more than some other places near by. I do wish they delivered sometimes but I understand that maybe that would play a part in altering other aspects of running the store. I do also dislike that they’re closed on Sundays. There were plenty of instances when I had a craving and then made my way there just to be reminded they’re closed on Sunday. The location is pretty convenient, there is enough parking seeing as the store is in a shopping center. It’s a wheelchair accessible location. The inside offers seating for maybe ten groups of four and maybe three groups of five or six. I’d suggest giving this place a try at least once. They’re clean and friendly. The success of your experience solely depends on your expectations and standards of Chinese cuisine.

I have yet to have a bad meal from here. The sesame chicken is the best I have ever had and I am not a novice to hole in the wall Chinese food. Their general Tso's is also good. Even the tofu versions of those two dishes is amazing. Dumplings are delightful and the owner (I assume) that is always working the cashier/to go is so friendly and willing to make what you want (ex: tofu dishes that don't exist). The decor is a step above usual Chinese places in a shopping center and If I didn't enjoy eating at home so much I would definitely eat in and enjoy the awesome Dragon wall. Portions are hefty at dinner time. For me it is easily two meals worth. Chicken and tofu both still crispy when I got home even though they were sealed and covered in sauce. Negative reviews maybe went on a bad night or something but i can safely say I have yet to be hit by one of those.

Some of the best Chinese food I've found in this area. Everything was fresh, well cooked, well seasoned, and overall great.

The pros: They make some AMAZING Orange Chicken! I will return here time and time again, just for this dish! Spicy, sweet, tangy, crispy....simply perfection! The wait staff are friendly and attentive, always willing to accommodate the smallest request and keep your beverage full. The cons: The decor is a bit tired, needing some rejuvenation (think "Big Trouble In Little China" lol). The cleanliness of bathrooms were not great, but not awful either...they need some attention. The checkout/to-go staging area could be tidied up as it is cluttered.

This is a wonderful out of the way Chinese restaurant. They have a hot and sour seafood soup for two with just the right amount of spice and heat. We had two of their spicy dishes. Both were good! They have an excellent Black Bean Sauce, too. While we were there we saw quite a few take out orders being filled.

I have been going here for many years. They always have excellent food and good portions. Maybe a little pricey but well worth it in my opinion.

I LOVE Orient Garden! After my husband and I tried this place, we only come here for Chinese. I love the sesame chicken, fried rice and eggrolls. My husbands go to is the orange chicken. The dumplings are also delicious! The best part is that the flavor is consistent every time we go (which is about twice a month).

I cannot believe I've never reviewed this restaurant. It's hands-down the best Chinese restaurant in Durham and I'm telling you I have been to every Chinese restaurant in Durham I live here 20 years and have tried them all and I always I mean always choose this one over them all. I have turned on over 20 of my friends and they all say the same thing man this is the best Chinese restaurant we have ever been to as far as the food. It's clean it's small it's quaint you will love it I'm telling you. You have to check them out for lunch. I have to admit that when they had their slow spell well during the Kroger closing they got rid of one of my favorite employees. She was the meanest lady I ever dealt with in a restaurant but over the years I grew to love her I have no clue what her name is but my God I wish they'd bring her back.they don't care about any of this except the food I'm telling you it's wonderful you cannot go wrong with the general tso chicken if you tell them to make it extra crispy / well done you will not regret it.

I've eaten here about 4 times, for lunch, and the "Spicy Orange Chicken" has been very good each time. The dining area is small, but comfortable, and there is an awesome tiled wall with dragons above a rough sea. Almost at the Streets of Southpoint Mall, and about 12 minutes from Chapel Hill down Hwy. 54.

Awesome general tso chicken and Singapore noodles. Also doing a great job with health precautions during covid. Have only ever ordered take out so can’t comment on dine-in experience.

Best General Tso’s, fair pricing, decent service pre-covid. Post-covid service has been quite rough. We were told food would be ready in 15 minutes from the time we placed the phone call. After waiting over an hour, we were told it would be another 15 minutes. Hoping this was just an off night we tried ordering on other occasions only to find the same disorganization.

Delicious Chinese food and one of our favorite spots in South Durham! The only downside is they don't deliver :) I've also been here several times during the COVID pandemic and they have great protocols for take out! Even a box with pens that have been sanitized!

I live close by and this is my go-to Chinese food place. I haven't tried a better one in Durham yet. The Mongolian beef, crab wontons, beef with broccoli, and lo mein items are consistently fresh and flavourful. I was a bit disappointed with the garlic pork though, as it didn't taste great and upset my stomach the next morning. The stomach issue may have been from other snacks I ate after, but it was either those or the reheated leftovers of the garlic pork. I'll take that item as a one off.

Dear Orient Garden, Where have you been hiding? I have been looking for you for so long! For such an unassuming strip-mall joint, you have proven, truly, that looks can be deceiving. I knew you were special when I noticed the long lines at the front door on a quiet Friday evening. Despite the Beer Virus running amok, many were masked up, not to thieve, but to exchange their precious coin for your wares. How little did I know then, how worthy your food was! Alas, one bite of your General Tso's Chicken, and my soul became one with the Cosmos and I beheld its entirety on the astral plane. Nirvana was achieved for the low, low price of $15.95 for the Dinner Combo. So unique; so special. And enough to feed 3 of me. How did you distil the secrets of the universe into your Orange Chicken Sauce? You have so many delicious mysteries, yet to be unraveled. Until we meet again, Your Admirer

Best Chinese take-out by a mile in the area. If you live in the Southpoint area, don't go anywhere else. I have tried them all, trust me. Their sauces are amazing and even in a to-go container their chicken stays crispy and they don't skimp on the cuts of meat they use. Their dinner special is enough for two meals, easily. They have a safe walk-up counter to order from and pick up from and you do not have to go inside. The owners and staff were so nice and helpful. Eating their basic items made me want to try other, lesser-known items on their menu, which is rare. I imagine this spot is perfect for the non-adventurous Chinese take-out eater and has some surprises for people who want to go deeper into the menu.
