Northgate Park is a large, many acres park. A creek runs through it and there are woodlands and grassy areas. There is a nice children's area with playground equipment, a tennis court and ample parking. There is also a walking trail. You can birdwatch, exercise, or just read a book at one of the many benches. The Northgate Park Neighborhood Association has added flower beds and helps keep the grounds well maintained. It still functions as a bird sanctuary and Grey Herons and ducks can often be seen in the creek that runs through it. Also beaver can sometimes be spotted by their lodge in the creek.

Cool Playground for kids! Very modern playground equipment! Different ways of climbing on stuff compared to a “normal” playground. Lots of rope features to climb on, kinda layed out somewhere “obstacle course-like.” Most of the playground is not really made for ages 2.5 and under but, they have also a secondary playground at the park for the wee little tykes. This park has tons of open empty grassy area, a creek/stream that runs through the middle of the grounds, and a cool bridge that crosses over top of it. This park has HUGE trees in it too!

Heading South from Richmond with the hubs and our 3.5 year old, we swung by here. My son and I rode the trails, and played at the playground (all total 10 min.) as Daddy moved things into the cab from the truck bed before the rain started. The playground is awesome for 3-12 year olds and had a nifty hand cycle installment in addition to a lot of climbing apparatuses. A bit advanced for youngers, though I saw a separate area with infant swings. If I lived here, I would definitely frequent this park!

Neighborhood park. A nice park to walk the dog around or in the dog park. Equipment and picnic areas are in good shape.
